Availability: In Stock I met Maker at a show in North San Diego and was able to pickup these up after talking to the man himself. Maker is the producer for the group named Glue. In talking to maker he described the LP to me as downtempo. It’s hard to put into words what the album sounds like. Generally I would say classic hip hop driven beats with easy listening type sounds, there also seems to be a hint of a loungy rock, jazzy piano-e, soul and latin feel to a few of the tracks. There a few tracks that are a little more uptempo but consistent with the overall feel of the album. From what I understand there are some guitar lick laid down on a few of the tracks. Keep in mind this album was originally releasaed in 2005 by Galapagos4. I know Galapagos4 as the label that put out the Typical Cats stuff back in the day which I personally am a huge fan of. If I were going to compare this album to anything, I might put it along the DJ Cam, Greyboy lines but with a more raw and varied sound, I’m not trying to put Maker in any categories because he does have his own dope unique sound but for those like comparisons that’s the best I could do. My favorite tracks by far are 2, 3, 6, 12.
