What can you about the Beastie Boys other than they have to be one of the most respected bands in hip hop history. I say band because their work transcends your typically mcs with a mic. Over the years they have given fans a variety of sounds. I decided to stock this video because 1) How can you claim to be into hip hop if you don's respect the Beastie Boys and 2) the concept for the DVD impressed me. Basically it's a live video of a gang of fans who were given video cameras to shoot from various angles/spots at their show. It's dope because it's like you are watching the show from the perspective of different fans. The DVD was directed by Adam Yauch. My only criticism is that the shots can get somewhat chaotic at times and it can be somewhat dizzying since there are so many angles and shots that are split between. If you like music DVDs that focus on the stage with slow pans to the audience etc. this DVD is not for you.
